About George Seymour

Prior to serving on council, he worked as a solicitor and in disability support. He also ran the region’s youth homeless shelter. He has dedicated his career to helping people.

He lives on the Fraser Coast with his wife and young son, where they enjoy an active outdoors lifestyle and participate in a range of sporting and cultural activities.

During his time as mayor, George has worked to expand and improve parks, sporting facilities, libraries, art galleries, public swimming pools, theatres and other community infrastructure that improves community health and wellbeing. His focus is working towards a community that is vibrant, healthy, and happy.
